Definitions:

• Coins: 
  1964 and earlier are considered 90% silver and are commonly sold and purchased in $500.00 and $1000.00 bags. They come in the form of dimes, quarters and fifty cent pieces.

• Rounds: 
  1 ounce, .999 fineness. 

• Bars: 
  1 oz., 5 oz., 10 oz., 25 oz., 50 0z., and 100 oz.

Gold bullion, for investment purposes is normally sold and purchased in coin form, i.e., one ounce American eagles, one ounce Canadian maple leafs and South African Krugerrand are the most common. Double eagles, pandas, Mexican 50 pesos, French and Swiss francs, sovereigns and coronas are also available.  Platinum coins from Australia, United States and Canada are available as well as gold bars ranging from one ounce to 100 ounces.    

Rare assorted nuggets and quartz with obvious gold veins running throughout from the northern California gold rush region may be purchased by weight, character and quality.
