About
Us
"Gold
in California!" That cry
went around the world and put California on the map in 1849.
Gold Quartz was the "El Dorado" that drew fortune seekers
from everywhere.
Few
things have changed at the old Wells Fargo office in the Holbrooke Hotel
in downtown Grass Valley. The old vault is still there. Miners used to
bring gold down to Wells Fargo and wait for the stage to San Francisco,
where they would send the gold to the mint. Wells Fargo is long gone from
the office, but the trading continues under the auspices of the Security
Gold Exchange.
Deposits
are still gathered from the rivers of this Gold Rush Country. It is a
common daily occurrence for miners from the surrounding hills to come in
and sell their findings to us here at Security Gold Exchange Inc.
Security Gold Exchange Inc. also receives Hardrock, Placer,
Specimen and Nuggets from South America, Alaska, South Africa.
The
hard rock miners of the California gold country dug thousands of miles of
tunnels in the Mother Lode in search of the elusive combination of
mineral and metal. Millions of tons of the historic gemstone were
crushed to extract the precious gold that built empires.
The fact
that almost all of the Gold Quartz ever mined was crushed makes fine Gold
Quartz more rare than diamonds or sapphires.
This
is an opportunity to own a rare piece of history, fashioned into a
beautiful gemstone.
